The world of business can be tough, not only for women, but for anyone that doesn’t come from a background where business and success are valued as viable career paths. I know only too well how difficult it can be for university or college students, trying to pay their way and make a mark on the world. This is why I’ve decided to fund a scholarship for anyone interested in entrepreneurship and business in the United States. I will choose one applicant who presents their vision of how to develop an idea from conception through design, to market place application. The successful applicant will receive $1.000 toward their tuition fees, and an invitation to join me for an internship at Sash Windows London Ltd.

Sash Windows London Ltd Scholarship Opportunity – July 2017

The scholarship is open for all students enrolled at a U.S. university or college and high school seniors who want to begin university in 2016/17.

Sash Windows London is the fastest growing windows company in the UK, and we owe a large part of our success to entrepreneurial skills and business networking. As a forward thinking company we know that youth and education will take our business to the next level, so we’re looking for sharp minds to highlight what constitutes a good business. I’m looking for a 1000 word essay that describes how to take a raw idea and turn it into a successful business. Is design the most important thing? Is it level of expertise? How about social media?  I want your input and ideas!

Terms and conditions

Contest participants will submit a 1,000 word essay on the following topic:

How to make a business successful in 2017

A minimum of three (3) of the following four (4) topics must be covered in the essay:

  • Vision/Personality
  • Business Networking
  • Social Media, Advertising and Marketing
  • Technology

Eligibility

This scholarship is for students that are currently enrolled in colleges, universities or high schools in the United States. I am looking for entrepreneurial creativity, which can come from all walks of life. For me gender, age, race is not a barrier to succeed in business, but desire and aptitude is.

The essay you are going to create must be unique and creative. The words of your content must deliver your vision for entrepreneurship and explain what is and what is not required to be successful in business from concept to market.

While reading the essays, I will take note of factors including creativity, vision, practicality and foresight.

Scholarship Details

Myself, and my editorial team will pick the winner based on factual accuracy, representation of the scope and conclusions.

The winner will get $1000 covered for the fall semester at an accredited US university, and an invitation to join a Sash Windows London Ltd internship.

The best five essays as determined by myself and my editorial panel will be published on SashWindowsLondonLtd.co.uk.

Requirements

To apply for the scholarship you must submit by no later than October 31st, 2017. Please include:

  • Your resume
  • Your university
  • An essay on the topic: “How to make a business successful in 2017”, minimum 1000 words.
  • Proof of legal residency in the United States

The winner of the contest needs to supply proof of enrolment in order to receive the scholarship.

Award

The winner will be selected by November 11th 2017.

  • The recipient will be announced on November 12th, 2017.
  • The money will be sent by check to your university or college.
  • The scholarship is to be used only on school tuition and related expenses.

Deadline

The deadline is October 31st, 2017, and the winner will be announced by November 12th and the check will be mailed out by November 20th.

$1,000 check will be sent directly to your college.
